Grantee Spotlight: Taking Flight with the AMA

Last year, Ball Brothers Foundation awarded a grant to the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) to provide flight kits to local K-8 students to give them hands-on exposure to aviation, modeling, engineering, and more. Now, the flight kits are being distributed across the community.

We recently sat down with Gwen Mathis, one of AMA's Education Development Coordinators, to learn more about the kits and how they're already helping nurture a love of science, technology, engineering, and flight!

Celebrating the Eclipse 

Did we love the solar eclipse? TOTALLY! Big thanks to so many who worked hard to make the eclipse weekend a special one in Muncie, from downtown to neighborhood watch parties throughout the community, Prairie Creek Reservoir, Minnetrista, and more. We were proud to support emergency management planning efforts and arts/cultural activities that happened all weekend long.
