BBF Awards Special Funding to Support BSU and Ivy Tech COVID Efforts

As the impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt in our community, Ball Brothers Foundation is supporting special efforts at Ball State University and Ivy Tech Community College.

  • Ball State University's College of Health will use $5,000 in funding to equip its clinics to deliver services remotely via telehealth services. Ball State University students deliver services to the public under the supervision of faculty and licensed professionals. Among their services are counseling and mental health, speech language pathology, audiology, and general health and wellness education.

  • Ball State University's Teachers College is using $25,000 to support planning efforts for K-12 schools as administrators and teachers prepare for the fall. Planning efforts may focus on a variety of needs including curriculum, technology, distance learning, and health. The work of Teachers College has the potential to benefit many schools, including Burris Laboratory Schools and Muncie Community Schools.

  • Ivy Tech Community College has created a COVID-19 Relief Fund to support students. A $5,000 grant from Ball Brothers Foundation was directed to support students at Ivy Tech's Delaware and Henry County campuses.

Earlier this week, Ball Brothers Foundation also released a new video in our COVID-19 series. Ivy Tech Community College's Jeff Scott and Ball State University's Geoff Mearns provide updates on how they are responding and supporting students.
