Deadline approaching for 2024 Fisher Governance Award nominations

2023 FGA Recipient, Ryan Hunter, former board president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie and Jud Fisher, president & CEO of Ball Brothers Foundation

MUNCIE, IN — Delaware County nonprofit organizations are invited to nominate a board member for the John W. and Janice B. Fisher Governance Award before the deadline on August 15. The award, given by Ball Brothers Foundation, recognizes the important role board members play in strategic planning and financial oversight to achieve their organization’s mission. The award recipient will receive a $10,000 grant for their organization.

“With this award, Ball Brothers Foundation can honor the often unrecognized efforts of nonprofit board members in Delaware County,” said Jud Fisher, president and CEO of Ball Brothers Foundation. “We share the belief that strong leaders possessing the drive for excellence allow these nonprofit organizations to thrive while continuing their mission and serving their communities.”

The award is named in honor of Delaware County philanthropists John W. and Janice B. Fisher, Ball family members who believed deeply in the importance of good governance and strong leadership.

The award will be presented at the Greater Muncie Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner on November 12, 2024.
