Old National Bank Accepting Applications from Community Organizations for 100 Men Who Cook

Muncie, Ind: (February 22, 2011) – Old National Bank is accepting beneficiary applications for the second annual 100 Men Who Cook fundraiser in Muncie. Presented and brought to the community by Old National Bank, the goal of the “100 Men Who Cook” event is to raise as much money as possible for one local non-profit organization. Last year’s event raised over $50,000 for the Muncie Children’s Museum.

Scheduled for November 12, 2011, the unique fundraiser brings 100 local celebrity chefs together to prepare and serve their best culinary dish for the community. In addition, the event offers music, a live auction and a chef’s competition that honors the chef who raises the most money for the cause.

Region President Jeff Howe said, “We were so pleased with the success of our inaugural 100 Men Who Cook event last November that we decided to take the event to the next level. The plan is to support a different charitable organization each year, as a way of reaching the broadest cross-section of our community as possible. As a community bank, we realize the importance of remaining invested in our communities, and 100 Men Who Cook is one way that we continue this tradition.”

In order to qualify as the benefiting organization, an application must be completed and returned to Old National prior to March 15, 2011. Further qualifications include maintaining an active 501(c)3 status and providing service to the Muncie-area community. Upon review of application, selected organizations will be called back for an interview during the last week in March.

Applications may be picked up at any Muncie-area Old National Bank. Please direct questions by email to Sherrie McCowanor phone765-254-3669.
