Celebrating 95 Years
In 1926, Edmund Burke Ball left an estate gift of $3.3 million to form the bedrock of Ball Brothers Foundation, believing that philanthropy is more powerful than charity. The foundation was created with a mission of preserving the stewardship legacy of the Ball brothers and improving the quality of life in Muncie, Delaware County, East Central Indiana, and Indiana through philanthropy and leadership.
Today, Ball Brothers Foundation continues to be guided by this same mission.
In fact, the year 2021 is our 95th year of grantmaking and leadership, and we’re marking the occasion with a commemorative badge that represents the strength and preservation of the Ball brothers’ legacy.
Ball Brothers Foundation continues to grow, and we project that our grantmaking will total a record $8.6 million during this celebratory 95th year. The foundation looks forward to many more years of collaboration and growing partnerships within Muncie, Delaware County, and East Central Indiana as we all work together to improve the quality of life for future generations.
