2019 Annual Report

BBF Releases New Annual Report Focused on Neighborhood Revitalization

BBF has just released our latest annual report which focuses on grants awarded in 2019. In 2019 our Foundation’s growing endowment enabled us to make grants totaling $8 million, a record payout. Among the organizations that received support were those working at the neighborhood level to meet residents’ basic needs, create vibrant public spaces, improve housing, and build community and a ‘sense of place.’ The report is dedicated to highlighting organizations on the forefront of this work:

• 8twelve Coalition

• Ross Community Center

•  ecoRehab and

• Next Muncie

You’ll also read about:

• Special awards given to Erica Collins, a science and math teacher at Muncie’s Northside Middle School (via our Excellence in Teaching Award program) and to Muncie Mission’s James Rosema (via our Fisher Governance Award)

• Changes at our staff and board levels

• Our enhanced communications efforts

As the world continues to change as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, BBF remains committed to supporting organizations working at the neighborhood level. We believe these organizations are the lifeblood of our community, and they will help carry us through.
